The New Work

I'm very happy to be experiencing such a productive time in my creative career. The ideas and work are flowing out of me more rapidly than ever. I am so lucky to have my teaching to keep me on my toes and keep my skills sharp.

The element of story is paramount in my work. I really enjoy leaving little symbolic clues in my paintings to help tell the tale of each piece for the viewer. I am often pleasantly surprised to hear the different ways people interpret my work. To me, it is more important for my viewers to make a personal connection to one of my works, to find their own story, rather than "get" what may have been my intended meaning.

My latest pieces are largely about our search for meaning and often mix bits of religion & philosophy with science. The piece pictured here is titled, Meditation. It is a 24x36 acrylic on canvas and is available for $1200.
